TV Nova will become the new general media partner of the T-Mobile Czech Enduro Series from the 2021 season.
The Czech Enduro Series, the biggest enduro MTB series in the Czech Republic and Europe for the general public, has had a year full of challenges. And although the organizers had to face many obstacles in 2020, the strength of the project and the whole cycling series was fully demonstrated in its ability to adapt to new conditions and continue to bring joy to thousands of participants and fans across the country
"We have learnt a lot, and it is on experience and a well-coordinated team that we will be betting in 2021. We are closely following the current developments in government regulations and the resulting obligations for the sport, but we firmly believe that it will be possible to organise the first event on the planned 23 May. Of course, with full respect for the measures and recommendations that will be in force at that moment," said Tomáš Pravenec, Director of Communications of the organizing agency Petr Čech Sport. "We are thrilled that TV Nova will be part of our partner family. It has long been the most watched Czech TV station, reaching millions of viewers of all ages every day. Our cooperation will not only be limited to coverage of individual races, but above all a complete and long-term introduction to cycling and sport as an ideal form of leisure for the whole family."
TV Nova has long been an active and fundamental player in the field of televised sport. Thanks to the Nova Sport 1 and Nova Sport 2 programmes, it offers viewers live broadcasts and specialised magazines from the world's most prestigious competitions, including the NHL hockey, NBA basketball, ATP tennis and many other events for fans of football, rugby, combat sports, motor sport and skiing. Sports news, which rounds off TV Nova's main news block, is the most watched sports programme in the Czech Republic. "Sport has long been one of our programming priorities, and we see cycling in particular as a social phenomenon. Both Bike for Life and the T-Mobile Czech Enduro Series attract thousands of athletes in the Czech Republic, professionals and entire families, including the youngest children. Great fun across generations, modern communication and the desire to bring as many people as possible to active sport. These are the basic pillars that we want to further develop together with the professionals from Petr Čech Sport," said Jakub Strýček, Marketing Director of TV Nova, who added: "Our goal is not sports coverage, but mainly to present the magic of cycling in all its forms. This will involve not only sports stations, but also a wide range of other programmes and communication channels in cooperation with the main faces of our television."
The partnership is for a multi-year period with the possibility of further extension. "It is also worth thanking Czech Television, which has been the general media partner of the project for the last few seasons. Czech Television has helped transform the project into its current form, co-creating its transformation from a pure racing event to a sports series for the general public. The cooperation has always been fair and we are glad that CT remains associated with other sports projects produced by our agency," Pravenec concluded.
